Open House for New Parkwest Surgery Center

KNOXVILLE, TENN. — Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) East Tennessee recently welcomed healthcare partners, community leaders, and special guests for an open house at the new TOA Parkwest Surgery Center. The event, held on Tuesday, August 12, celebrated the upcoming launch of TOA’s first ambulatory surgery center in the state of Tennessee.

Located at 9461 Sherrill Boulevard in Knoxville, the Parkwest Surgery Center marks a major milestone for TOA and orthopedic care in the East Tennessee region. The new facility features 12 operating rooms and is equipped to provide a wide range of procedures, including joint replacements, spine surgeries, upper extremity surgeries, and more.

“The opening of our new orthopedic surgery center marks a significant milestone in TOA’s ongoing growth and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We’ve built a facility where innovation, precision, and compassion come together to achieve the best possible outcomes for the patients and families we’re privileged to serve.” – Meaghan Cice, Administrator of PWSC

Surgeries at the Parkwest Surgery Center are scheduled to begin early October 2025. The center was designed with patients in mind, offering a modern, comfortable, and efficient setting for outpatient orthopedic care.

“We’re proud to announce the opening of our new 36,000-square-foot Orthopedic Surgery Center—featuring 12 advanced operating rooms, robotics, and an integrated care model designed by orthopedic surgeons for patients, staff, and surgeons alike. Built to expand our capacity and elevate patient experience, this facility supports procedures from minimally invasive to complex reconstructive surgeries.

While technology sets the stage, our team—orthopedic surgeons, nurses, surgical technologists, and administrative staff—truly sets us apart. Together, we’re not just treating pain and injuries; we’re restoring function, independence, and quality of life.” – Conrad Ivie, MD, MBA

During the open house, attendees toured the state-of-the-art facility, met with TOA providers, and learned more about the surgical services that will soon be available. The opening of the Parkwest Surgery Center expands TOA’s ability to provide high-quality orthopedic care across East Tennessee, all within a convenient outpatient environment.
